Collection of Photography and Art
Healing art is a creative form of expression which enhances coping, healing and personal growth. Traditional healing art can consist of many different art forms like music, poetry, drawing, painting and even dance or drama. The focus is on healing paintings and the aim is healing, based on experiences and challenges.
“The aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things, but their inward significance.” – Aristotle
Healing art is often used for patients to help them process what has happened to them and to leave things they no longer have to carry along with them.
Art is experience
Healing art is all about experiencing and an experience is subjective and individual. If ten people look at one painting, they will have ten different experiences, even though the painting remains the same. Because of our different lives, former experiences, and expectations, we all have different associations with a painting. These associations in the experience of the healing painting can contribute to the self-healing ability of the body. The different colors used in the paintings have their own purpose. Colors are found in nature and each of them has its own frequency, which corresponds and resonates with a certain area of our energetic body. For example yellow, the color of the sun is seen as a mindfulness color and a true recharger of our soul.
